Sector Policing

The Muldersdrift Police Station have three dedicated vehicles that patrol and work in specific areas called Sectors. Above are the areas that fall into these Sectors. The aim of this is to have officers who know your area and property and can respond to incidents as soon as possible in addition to patrols, providing visible policing. The residents of these Sectors have an opportunity once a month to meet with the SAPS and discuss safety and crime issues, view crime statistics and exchange information. Complaints and suggestions are also handled at these meetings. If you want to get involved and find out more information about what is going on around where you live, you can attend your area’s meeting. These monthly meetings will be held at the Police Station at 18h30, on the following days:

Sector Number ONE TWO THREE
Meeting day 3rd Wednesday of the month 2nd Tuesday of the month 3rd Tuesday of the month

Community Police Forum

This forum is made up of voted representatives from our community who form me ‘Executive’. These representatives handle all issues between the community and the SAPS, including strategy, projects (i.e. Trauma centre), complaints, suggestions, sector policing, donations and keeping the lines of communication flowing between the SAPS and the Community. At the monthly meeting the chairperson of each Sector reports on matters in their area and escalates any matters including complaints that require further attention. In addition representatives from Land Owning and Residents Associations as well as some of the general public can attend these meetings.

The CPF meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month at 18h00 for 18h30 at the Muldersdrift SAPS.

Our area needs to increase the number of reservists available. This is a chance for those in our community to help with crime in a very direct way. If you are interested in finding out more, contact Johan Schwartz, head of the Muldersdrift Reservists 083 433 5822.
